Faults..... You know we all have them.... I know I do anyway... I have a ton!!! I am lazy, obsessed w/chatting on the internet, the worst housekeeper imaginable, I procrastinate, I yell at my children too much, I don't sleep enough yet seem to always be lounging, I watch too much tv, I have an odd sense of humor, I sometimes speak before my brain is engaged or I like the tact required when I do open my mouth, I am gullible and niave, and I often sound more gruff and perhaps rude, using a vocal tone more distainful then I mean to be.... But I do my best to work on these faults... or some of them anyway... But I am not always successful in restraining them....
I lost my temper at work yesterday.... My replacement was new and while he had received some instruction he didn't get all he needed or had some faulty info.... Day 2 of trying to instruct him on what he did wrong and how to correct it and I guess I just didn't have my bestest, nicest teacher voice on!! Well he raised his voice, I raised mine.... He tried to say "but that isn't how I was told to do it by X" and I tried to tell him that while X knows the job he isn't perfect either and since I have been there the longest of them all and am senior ranking I am telling him that this is how it is SUPPOSED to be done.... UGH!!! Eventually had to get a referee to step in! *L* Ok I do feel bad but damn it, it was day TWO of showing him the same/similar incorrect entries.... and it was 9am - I had been there for almost 10 hrs after a long day previously w/o sleep.... Well this morning did run more smoothly but seeing how he's an older man of his 60's and set in his ways and I am merely a young girl there is a slight amount of friction btwn us but I did my best to remain respectful and calm.... Of course too I have now invested all this time in him only to deal with the fact that he WON"T be back again so why did I bother???? *sigh* Til next time...
